The US Capitol Christmas Tree will be stopping in Santa Clarita on it's way to D.C. California has been honored this year by providing the tree from one of our forests.
The ALR 507 will be escorting the Christmas Tree from Castaic to the Saugus
Speedway and Swap Meet, 22500 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA on 12
Nov. 0900-0930 hrs.
We will be staging at Mike's Diner 31537 Castaic Rd. Castaic, CA 91384 at 0830. Those of you that have flag mounts on your bike, please bring your flags! Once at the Saugus Speedway, we'll have reserved parking for our bikes.

We will meet in the parking lot of the shopping center located at Olinda/Imperial Hwy. When you turn into the center you will see Fitness/Pizza Grill straight ahead of you. Let's meet in the parking lot to the right. There is a bank there which will probably not be open on Sunday. This is just one street north of Yorba Linda Blvd.
Time: Meet at 3:30 PM to go over a few items
Leave for Event: 3:45 PM (it is less than one mile away)
Arrive at Yorba Linda Community Center 4:00 PM the event is now scheduled to start at 5:00 PM
There is plenty of parking at the community center.

The memorial service for our brother Budd Ray will be this coming Saturday, February 12.
We will stage at the Valley Plaza Sears parking lot towards the corner of Ming and Wible at 11:00AM in Bakersfield.
Kick Stands Up at 11:30.
From there we will ride to Budd and Carols home to pick up Carol and escort her to the post.
For those not riding, the memorial service at the Post will begin at 12:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in memory of Budd to the American Legion Post 26.

Mission for our Brother Vance Carlisle Scott

Our great nation has lost another Vietnam Veteran and PGR/ALR Brother,Vance was born in Little Rock, Ark. on 25 January passed away on Sunday morning 16 January 2011 in San Diego, CA. He enlisted in the USAir Force and was stationed at Lackland AF Base for basic training. He joined during the Korean Conflict and wanted to go there, but was sent to Turkey instead, he then was transferred to Lybia for 18 months. Vance served two tours in Vietnam, 65-66 and again from 69-72. Vance retired in 1972 after 21 years of faithful service in the Air Force with the rank of S/Sgt. He married Shirley in February 76 in Ark. then moved to CA. He has three children from previous marriage Rosa, VanceJr and Maria. Our Brother did not hesitate to stand for us, now it's our turn to stand for him! His Wife Shirley Scott has honored us by requesting our presence at the Memorial Service at the Veterans Plaza in Simi Valley at 1200 hrs, and the Remembrance Of Life at 1300 hrs at the Elks Lodge, 1561 Kuehner Dr. Simi Valley, CA. Lunch will be served.

This is the first Area 6 Gathering.
All of the Area 6 Chapters will be meeting up at Penny Bar in McKittrick, CA at about noon.
Any chapters that can will meet up with other chapters in their areas and ride together.
In our case the 741 will meet up with the 48 and they will pick us up on the way and we will all ride to the Penny Bar together.
We need to meet at the post at 0900 so we have time to meet up with the other chapters.
This will be our first ride of the new year and should be great getting together with all the other chapters.
